This 108 unit student apartment project consists of four separate three story apartment buildings and amenity structures on a site in Corpus Christi, Texas. The apartment buildings are three stories in height and consist of various combinations of two, three and four bedroom units with 336 total beds. The design meets the needs of the developer to maximize space efficiency to meet bottom line while appealing to a student market that seeks modern facilities.

The clubhouse is designed to accommodate the needs for a leasing office and model unit while offering space for student resident recreation. The clubhouse includes a fitness room, video gaming room, television/game lounge area, a computer room, restrooms and other ancillary functions. The clubhouse design incorporates a coastal theme based on the location of the site near the Gulf Coast.

The site also includes a maintenance building and swimming pool.

The development incorporates an urban design that appeals to the student market and the need for space efficiency to meet the developer’s bottom line. The 164 unit project consists of five separate four story apartment buildings located near the Illinois State University campus in Normal, Illinois. Consists of a combination of two, three and four bedroom units with retail/commercial space on the first floor of two buildings.

Two of the four bedroom units are two story top floor loft apartments with an industrial style décor.
An amenities space is included on the first floor of Building 4. Building 3 is designed as mixed use to include commercial retail space on the first floor.

This sustainable designed, three story, wood framed building serves as affordable housing for seniors consists of fifty individual living units, primarily one bedroom units, with five two bedroom units. Amenities include manager's office, visitor waiting area, mailroom, laundry on all floors, exercise room, library and multi-purpose room.

KAP Architecture is located in the Warren Huddleston Building on the south end of the Village at the Crossing. KAP had the challenge of designing a functional work space for an architecture firm within the confines of an odd shaped shell.

AnSun Restaurant is located at the Village at the Crossing in southwest Champaign. The restaurant is in a portion of the former Ace Hardware Store. KAP provided architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and interior design for this project.
